Reporting to the Chair, School of Fire Protection Engineering Technology, the Professor will be responsible for providing academic leadership and developing an effective and compelling learning environment for students through designing, revising and delivering curricula. The Professor will participate in the development of the program, including the recruitment and job placement of students, defining and evaluating learning outcomes, and in establishing industry links and partnerships. The Professor will be the academic leader in all related courses in the School of Fire Protection Engineering Technology. The Professor may also be called upon to contribute to other areas of activity ancillary to the academic programs of the School. Within the School of Fire Protection Engineering Technology, the Professor will teach in the technicians and technology engineering programs and will teach a variety of subjects including hazards of materials, chemical extinguishing systems, plan reviews, and fire codes in the School and provide academic tutoring and counselling to students and evaluate student performance.
