This seminar will help you to understand the human behaviour in fire emergencies, from the first alert and cues to the aftermath of the evacuation process. It elaborates on the material that was presented in Module 3 of the January 2011 course ‘Basic Principles of Fire Protection Engineering’ (not a pre?requisite). The seminar material comes in part from the research work of Dr Guylène Proulx, deceased, during her tenure at the NRC. This course encompasses an in?depth overview of Human Response in Fire, allowing participants to gain or refresh their knowledge on the topic. This is also an excellent opportunity to exchange and network.
