The new BC Building Code now allows materials of “other” than concrete or masonry in a 2 h firewall. Kim Tompkins, CTR, the Architectural Sales Manager for Western Canada will be presenting Georgia Pacific Corporation’s 2 Hour Gypsum Firewall assembly. Kim will be providing an overview of the system, a tutorial on the installation and showing a recent installation in the field. Kim is the Past President of BC Building Envelope Council, Past President of the BC Wall and Ceiling Association, and is Chair of the upcoming Construction Specification Canada National Conference being held in May 2007.
